Itinerary

Day 1

Entebbe International Airport for pick up, hotel or any boarder point

We shall be waiting for you at Entebbe International Airport for pick up. Our guide will transfer you to your hotel in Entebbe for an overnight stay at Airport Guest House

Day 2

Transfer to Kibale National Park

Set off to Kibale National Park located in Southern western part of Uganda which is about four to five hours drive from Kampala City, the park is famous for Chimpanzee trekking. wildness and beauty with its diversity of ecosystems. The park is a home to over 13 other primates like Red colobus monkey, Gray cheeked mangabeys and also house over 300 bird species
After your lunch, you will set off for Bigodi Swamp walk. Bigodi Swamp walk is a local community initiative which is rich in birds and primates and this will allow you to experience the unique jungle like eco system as you venture through it with the tour guide. you will also be surprised with its wide range of bio diversity for instance Blue monkeys, Black and white colobus monkey, Red-tailed monkey and Vervet monkeys. It is also a home for mammals which include Bush pigs, Bush bucks, Mongooses, Bush babies, Forest elephants. This swamp is beauty covered thick colourful flowering plants and trees, butterflies, primates and mammals

Day 3

Chimpanzee trekking experience

Have an early morning breakfast, after which you will head to park for Chimpanzee trekking experience. Well informed and experienced rangers will guide you through the forest trek to track the chimpanzee and also interpret the Chimpanzee behavior. These apes live in group with an alpha male, they are very active as they play around the branches (depending on their current moods) and have been habituated to tolerate presence of human beings. This explain why they live with the local people in harmony, you will also encounter lots of bird species, forest elephants (if lucky)
Later in the afternoon you will be transferred to Queen Elizabeth National Park. Check in at your   Lodge for your overnight stay

Day 4

Queen Elizabeth National Park

After breakfast, you will have a morning game drive in the Kasenyi section of the park where we expect sights of lions, leopards, spotted hyenas, and African elephants, lots of Uganda Kobs, herds of cape buffaloes, bush backs, water backs and many others.
In the afternoon, after lunch, you will proceed for an afternoon launch cruise on the Kazinga Channel, connecting lakes Edward and George. The channel is known to have the largest hippo population in the world.  Here you also encounter with a lot of bird species like the saddle billed stocks, African fish eagles, lesser flamingos, open billed stocks, pied king fisher, malachite king fishers, red billed ox peackers ( ridding on elephants and buffaloes looking for ticks) wild animals such as elephants, buffaloes and dozens of schools of hippos drinking water, others are cooling off, and some busking on the banks of the channel. Return to the lodge for an overnight at Katara Lodge

Day 5

Bwindi Impenetrable National Park

After morning breakfast, you will be transferred to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park which is located in South western of Uganda on the edge of the rift valley. The park is a home to the mountain gorillas with half of the world’s population with 350 species of birds and 400 species of plants. The park also provides shelter to 120 mammals which include several primate species such as baboons, Chimpanzees as well as forest elephants.
You will arrive at your destination in time for lunch and relaxing in the afternoon.

Day 6

Gorilla Tracking Experience

Have an early morning breakfast, after which you will get to the Bwindi Impenetrable Forest information Centre for briefing. You will then set off into this dense tropical rain forest, hilly and soggy, to track the mountain gorillas. It’s a fairly tough walk but one you’ll never forget – the sight of these giant apes as they feed, play and relax is extremely amazing. Besides the gorillas, our close relatives still in the wild, you will encounter hundreds of bird species, small mammals, primates and lots of plant life. Tracking takes from 3-10 hours therefore; you will have packed lunch when leaving the hotel.
Late in the afternoon, take a community walk to witness the local traditional cultures for Batwa pygmies and see for yourself the impact of gorilla tourism in the local community.

Day 7

Lake Bunyonyi

After breakfast, you will head to ake Bunyonyi, uganda’s deepest crater lake and relax at the hotel or choose swim or have a community walk.

Day 8

Boat trip to Punishment Island

Early, morning, you will have a boat trip to island, and visit the community hospital where we shall engage in a community support, proceed to the punishment island and then head up for the zip lining challenge after which you will have lunch at the lodge and relax in the evening enjoying the sun set views.

Day 9

Lake Mburo National Park.

Have early morning breakfast and set off to Lake Mburo National Park. Lake Mburo is a home of 350 bird species as well as Zebra, Impala, Buffalo, Oribi, Defassa waterbuck, Hippo, Hyena, topi, reedbuck and Leopard. Then you will have a stop-over at Igongo cultural Museum for cultural experience.

Day 10

Morning game drive

Have early morning breakfast, you will have a morning game drive and here expect to see various species of birds, hippos, herds of zebra, Uganda Kobs, Tsavo cat, buffaloes, giraffes, Impala and other species of animals feeding in the planes field while others visit the lake to quench their thirst. As a community share, the locals are allowed to graze their long horned Ankole cattle which produce cholesterol free milk.
Later in the afternoon, you will proceed for a launch cruise, sight-seeing of hippos, basking crocodiles and lots of malachite king fishers, fishing. You will definitely taste the fish from the lake, if you choose to do so.

Day 11

Kampala

Have breakfast, and then proceed to Kampala with a stop-over at the Equator crossing for some photos as you cross from the south to the northern hemisphere. Check into your hotel for overnight stay and a bit of souvenir shopping.
You will arrive at the lodge around lunch time and relaxing.
Later you may carry out an optional activity, the Kampala city tour, bicycle riding

Day 12

Source of the Nile

After breakfast, you will be picked by our representative guide from your accommodation in Kampala. Set off to Jinja located in Eastern region of Uganda. Lunch will be served from 2 Friends Hotel. After your lunch, set off to the source of the Nile and have a boat trip to the starting point of River Nile. Once finished, you will head for relaxation at the Lodge.

Day 13

Quad biking besides the Rive

After breakfast, you will set off for a horse ride experience, you will ride through a typical Ugandan village and a stunning section along the banks of the Nile. After enjoying the horse ride, you will then head for Quad biking besides the River Nile. An optional Jinja city tour will be conducted. After lunch depart to Entebbe

Day 14

Botanical gardens Relaxation

After having breakfast, you can relax or carry out optional activities, later in the afternoon you will be taken to Botanical gardens for relaxing.

Transferred to Entebbe International Airport

This will be your last day and you will be transferred to Entebbe International Airport for your flight.
